He Was Being a Father

Being a father wasn't easy,

when he tried to understand.

He forgave what most could not.

Being a father, wasn't easy,

he had to worry alot

not to show partiality,

in love, and kindness.

Being a father, wasn't easy,

when he was needed,

and knew not,

what to say, or do.

Being a father, wasn't easy,

when he awoke at dawn,

with the rising sun

to find that time was,

running out on him.

Yet, being a father, was easy,

when he got the needed love, and support,

as he tried, to fill the footsteps,

of the one, we all loved so much.

When You Think of Me

When you feel the suns warmth,

upon your face,

or the wind blowing,

thru your hair

think of me.

When you hear,

a childs laughter

and see the twinkle,

in their eyes

think of me.

When you look,

to the sky

and see the puffy

white clouds,

think of me

sitting there watching you,

from up above.

Think of me,

for in your heart

is where,

I'll always be.

Sometimes

Sometimes,

it takes a storm,

and the pouring rain.

Before

you can see blue sky.

Sometimes,

it takes heartache,

and the pain

of a broken heart,

before you're able

to find love.

Sometimes,

you'll cry

a river of tears,

but it will

cleanse your soul.

and sometimes

you'll stumble,

and fall

before you see,

there is light

in the end.

A Simple Prayer

Let me feel,

the suns warmth

upon my back.

Let me greet,

each person

that chance,

brings into my life,

with a smile.

Let me show kindness,

to a stranger

if we meet,

upon the street.

Let me be,

I pray

the person you created,

with a heart

full of love,

and kindness.

Just Friends

You say, you're friends,
and nothing else.
My heart, sends a warning,
from deep inside.
You tell me,
not to worry
yet,
I can read
between the lines.
Your actions,
seem to speak louder
than your words
to me.
I try,
to look the other way,
to pretend, it doesn't
bother me.
Yet, I think
the message you're sending,
is clear,
and my eyes,
don't lie.

Within The Box

I'll place all the sadness,
along with memories made
upon the bottom.
In goes,
the lonliness, and pain,
you left me here
to deal with.
Along will go,
a broken heart
that once loved you.
Next layer, will be
my sleepless nights,
as I lie awake
missing you.
As my tears,
silently fall
I lay your picture,
upon the top.
Silently, I close the lid,
as each tear
of the tape,
seals our love
forever,
within the box.

To Blind to See

Sometimes you wait,
your whole life thru,
for that special someone.
To blind to see,
I loved you unconditionally.
My hearts not a trinket,
for you to collect
and show.
To blind to see,
what you're doing
to me.
You'll never change,
with your controlling ways
I can see that now,
as I walk away.
It's sad to say,
you were
to blind to see,
I'll love you
through out eternity.

My Sister, My Friend

When we were little,

we played together.

Then as we grew older,

there were times,

we laughed together.

Even when we

had to cross,

the saddest, and hardest

times in our lives,

we cried together.

Sometimes, not knowing

the words to say,

for comfort,

so we just gave our love,

by simply being there.

These are the moments,

which will forever remain

in my heart,

as I remember,

My sister, my friend.

Mama Loved Me

Little boy three,
fell, and scraped
his knee.
Mama, brushed it off,
and carried me.
Young man cries,
from a broken heart.
Mama, found the time,
to comfort me.
Things I've done,
within my life,
whether they were,
right or wrong.
Mama, had faith,
and believed in me.
One thing I know,
beyond a shadow
of doubt,
Mama, loves me.

Keep On Searching

When your luck,
seems to be down
and there's dark clouds,
all around.
Don't give up, or falter.
Just look deep,
within yourself.
You'll find the strength,
you're searching for
to carry on.
When the problems
of life,
seem to deal you
more than your fair share,
and you feel like,
you can't take anymore
just keep on searching,
for there will be
a brighter day,
tomorrow.

Along the Gardens Edge

As I walked along,
the gardens edge,
I knelt right there,
on bended knee.
As I bowed my head,
to pray,
the tears began
to fall.
I sensed his presence,
and felt his love
for on that joyful day,
he knocked,
upon the door,
and I opened up
my heart to him.
He gave to me,
the peace, I needed
from within.
Jesus set me free,
right then and there
today, tomorrow,
and thru eternity.

Dare To Dream

Have a little faith,
in your dreams.
Open the door
to your heart,
and listen to
the message,
that it speaks.
Dare to achieve,
to your highest peak.
Disappointments,
and failure,
are only stepping stones,
along the way.
For your dreams,
are like a portal,
with a key
that unlocks
your future.

A Heart Went To

The day you left,
and went away,
along with you
my heart went to.
The day you left,
and went away,
along with you
my smile went to.
The day you left,
all my hopes,
and dreams went away.
The day you left,
along with you
part of me,
went to.
The day you left,
to go away,
along with you
my love went to.

The Clock of Life

The hands of time,
stand still,
for no one.
Every minute.
that goes
tick, tock,
is a life
written page.
As we idle,
through out
the days,
there's no rewind,
nor pause,
for the clock
of life,
must go forth,
on it's path,
as time
plays on.

To Shake a Soldier's Hand

If by chance,
someday we meet,
upon a crowded street.
I’d like to
shake the hand,
of the soldier,
who fought the war,
on terror.
I’d like to shake
your hand,
for the bravery,
you’ve shown
time, and time again.
Who throughout
the endless nights,
prayed silently
for home.
With no regard to
their own feelings,
out of love,
they put our Country first,
to protect, and serve,
the land of freedom,
we call home.
